Sometimes finishing a painting is an extremely happy moment, sometimes it's bitter sweet.  I think this time around it is a little bitter sweet.  I've really enjoyed the whole process of this one.  I also haven't done a "still life" style painting since college and I really think I will be doing another one soon.  Being able to manipulate the lighting and tones, rather than having to match the lighting nature gives you in a single moment is a really enjoyable process.  Anyways, this painting is oil on hardboard, 16" x 20".  Still haven't quite come up with a name for it yet, but that's always the hardest part.  Prints available now, original available soon (after drying and varnishing period).
